Privacy Policy

eCasinoExplorer is an independent information website for adults. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data may be collected when you visit the website, contact us, submit information or follow a link to a third-party service. It also explains why that information may be used, who may receive it and what choices and rights may be available to you.

This policy applies to eCasinoExplorer pages, editorial tools and forms hosted on ecasinoexplorer.com. It does not govern a casino, payment provider, regulator, support organisation or other website that you visit through an external link.

Privacy in one sentence: you can read most of eCasinoExplorer without creating an account, but ordinary web-server data, cookies or similar technologies, contact details you choose to provide and affiliate-attribution information may still be processed.

Privacy at a glance

Question Short answer
Do I need an account? No. eCasinoExplorer does not currently require a reader account to access ordinary editorial content.
What is collected automatically? Technical request and security data may include an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, referring page, timestamps and error or performance data.
What if I contact you? We receive the details and content you choose to send, such as your name, email address, organisation, message and supporting material.
Do affiliate links track clicks? They may. A link can contain a campaign identifier, and an affiliate network or destination website may use cookies, pixels or server-side attribution under its own policy and your consent choices.
Does eCasinoExplorer hold casino account data? No. We do not operate casino accounts, accept deposits, conduct KYC, hold player balances or process withdrawals.
Can I make a privacy request? Yes. Use our Contact page. The rights available depend on your location and the reason the data is processed.

1. Who is responsible for this website?

For the personal data described in this policy, eCasinoExplorer is the publisher responsible for deciding why and how information is processed, except where a third party acts independently for its own purposes. In data-protection terminology, eCasinoExplorer may therefore act as the controller of information submitted directly to us and of selected website-processing activities.

You can contact the publisher about privacy through the eCasinoExplorer Contact page. To help us respond, write “Privacy request” in the subject or opening line and identify the relevant email address, page, communication or activity.

A casino operator, affiliate platform, analytics provider, hosting provider or other external service may act as our processor, as a separate controller or in another legally defined role depending on the service and data flow. Its own privacy notice should explain the processing for which it is independently responsible.

2. Information we may process

The information involved depends on how you use the website. We do not need the same data from a person who only reads an article as from a person who submits a correction or commercial proposal.

Information collected when the website is loaded

Like most websites, eCasinoExplorer and its infrastructure providers may automatically receive technical data when a page, image, script or other resource is requested. This can include:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • date, time and duration of a request or session;
  • requested page, referring URL and exit destination where available;
  • browser type, operating system, device category, language and screen characteristics;
  • cookie identifiers, consent choices or other pseudonymous identifiers where applicable;
  • response status, loading time, error, security and diagnostic information;
  • signals associated with spam, bots, abuse or malicious activity.

An IP address or identifier may be personal data even when it does not directly reveal a person’s name. We therefore do not treat technical data as automatically anonymous.

Information you choose to send

If you contact us, submit a casino, report an error, ask for a correction, discuss advertising or provide evidence, we may process:

  • your name, professional title, organisation and contact details;
  • the content of the message and previous correspondence;
  • URLs, screenshots, attachments and documents you provide;
  • information needed to verify a factual claim or respond to a request;
  • administrative records showing when and how the communication was handled.

Please send only what is necessary. Do not send casino passwords, one-time codes, private cryptographic keys, full payment-card numbers, unredacted identity documents or credentials that would allow access to an account. eCasinoExplorer does not need this information to correct an article.

Editorial and public-source information

Our research can contain professional information about casino directors, owners, representatives, regulators, complainants or other relevant people. It may come from official registers, regulatory decisions, court records, corporate websites, public professional profiles, press releases, direct submissions and other publicly accessible or lawfully supplied sources.

We use such information for journalism, research, fact-checking, fraud prevention, correction handling and the public-interest purpose of explaining casino ownership, licensing and risk. We aim to use only information relevant to the editorial issue and do not publish private contact details merely because they can be found online. Our Casino Data Sources and Editorial Policy pages explain the research process in more detail.

Affiliate and commercial information

If you follow an affiliate or sponsored link, the URL may include campaign, publisher, placement or click identifiers. Depending on the partner, technology and your choices, the destination operator or affiliate platform may record the referral, device or browser data, approximate location, click time and whether a qualifying action later occurred.

Reports available to eCasinoExplorer may contain aggregated or pseudonymous attribution data, such as clicks, registrations or commission status. We do not need access to the bets you place, your exact casino balance or your identity-verification documents to operate an affiliate relationship. Read our Casino Affiliate Disclosure for the commercial context.

3. Why we use information and our legal bases

Where the EU GDPR, UK GDPR or a similar law requires a lawful basis, the relevant basis depends on the purpose. The table below describes the principal processing expected on this website. A basis is not a licence to use data for any unrelated purpose.

Purpose Information commonly involved Typical legal basis
Deliver pages and maintain technical operation IP address, request data, device/browser information, essential cookies and diagnostics Legitimate interests in providing a functional, reliable website; steps requested by the user where applicable
Secure the website and prevent abuse Server logs, security events, IP address, spam and bot signals Legitimate interests in protecting the website, readers and systems; legal obligation where applicable
Answer messages and manage submissions Contact details, correspondence, attachments and related records Legitimate interests in communicating and handling editorial requests; steps before a contract for a genuine business enquiry; legal obligation where applicable
Research, publish, correct and defend editorial content Submissions, public-source professional information, evidence and correction history Legitimate interests in accurate publishing, freedom of expression, public-interest research and defence of legal claims; applicable journalistic or legal provisions
Measure readership and improve performance Pseudonymous identifiers, page interactions, referral, device and performance data Consent where required for non-essential storage or access technologies; limited legitimate interests only where permitted without consent
Attribute affiliate referrals and measure commercial placements Campaign and click identifiers, referral data and pseudonymous conversion information Consent where required; legitimate interests in measuring disclosed commercial relationships where law permits and those interests are not overridden
Keep financial, tax, compliance and dispute records Invoices, business contact details, transaction and correspondence records Legal obligation; legitimate interests in accounting, audit and establishing or defending claims

When we rely on consent, you may withdraw it for future processing. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful. When we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the purpose, necessity and likely impact on the individual and apply safeguards such as minimisation, access limits and pseudonymisation where appropriate.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file placed on a browser or device. Websites and third parties can also use local storage, pixels, tags, URL parameters, scripts, device identifiers and server-to-server signals for similar purposes.

Category Purpose Consent position
Strictly necessary Security, load balancing, core page delivery, fraud prevention and remembering a requested privacy choice May operate without consent where the law provides a necessary-service exemption
Preferences Remembering optional display, language or interface choices Consent may be required unless the technology is strictly necessary for a feature you requested
Analytics and performance Understanding page use, referral sources, errors and website performance Used with consent where required by applicable cookie or privacy law
Affiliate, advertising and attribution Measuring clicks, campaigns, placements and qualifying referrals; limiting fraud or duplicate attribution Used with consent where required; destination websites make their own choices under their policies

Non-essential technologies should not be activated merely because a person continues browsing where the law requires an affirmative choice. Where a consent tool is provided, use it to accept, reject or change optional categories. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser, although doing so may remove saved preferences and may not control every server-side or link-based attribution method.

Cookie names, providers and lifetimes can change when website services are updated. A live consent panel, where available, should be treated as the current device-level list. This policy explains the categories and data uses; it does not convert a non-essential tracker into a necessary one.

5. Analytics, external scripts and link-management services

eCasinoExplorer may use analytics, performance, advertising, affiliate and link-management services to understand traffic, maintain sponsored links and measure disclosed commercial activity. At the time this policy was reviewed, website pages could load an external script associated with acint.net for a third-party link or advertising placement. Such a service may receive technical request data when its resource loads and may process identifiers or interaction data according to its own role and policy.

External services can change, and a script that appears on a page is not controlled by the reader’s relationship with a casino. Where consent is legally required, the relevant non-essential script should be blocked until the required choice has been made. eCasinoExplorer should periodically audit live pages and update both the consent interface and this policy when a material provider or purpose changes.

We aim to use analytics and commercial reports to understand pages and campaigns, not to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on an individual reader.

6. Affiliate links and destination websites

When you click an external link, your browser connects to another website. That destination may receive your IP address, request headers, the referring page, campaign parameters and any information you later provide there. If you create a casino account, the operator will normally collect substantially more information under its own terms, including identity, age, payment, location, verification and gambling-activity data.

eCasinoExplorer does not become the controller of all operator data merely because the visit began with our link. We do not conduct the operator’s KYC checks, see your full payment details, control your account or decide whether a withdrawal is approved.

Before registering or sending information to a casino, read the operator’s privacy notice and check which legal entity, licence and country apply to the account. A link on eCasinoExplorer is not a privacy guarantee.

7. Who may receive information?

We may disclose information only where reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. Recipients can include:

  • hosting, content-delivery, security, backup and technical-support providers;
  • email, form, spam-prevention and business-communication providers;
  • analytics, consent-management and performance services;
  • affiliate networks, casino operators and advertising or link-management partners in connection with a click, referral, campaign or commercial audit;
  • professional advisers, accountants, auditors and insurers where necessary;
  • courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities when disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety;
  • a successor or prospective successor if the website or relevant business assets are reorganised, sold or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

Service providers should receive only the information needed for their role and be subject to contractual, confidentiality, security or other appropriate controls where required. A third party acting as an independent controller is responsible for explaining its own additional purposes.

8. International transfers

The internet is international. Hosting, email, security, analytics, affiliate or other providers may process information outside the country where you live, including outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

Where data-protection law restricts such a transfer, an applicable mechanism may include an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another lawful safeguard. Supplementary technical and organisational measures may be used where appropriate. Limited transfers may also occur under a specific legal derogation when the law permits it.

You may contact us if you want information about the transfer safeguards relevant to personal data we control. Confidential commercial or security details may be redacted, but this does not remove a right to receive the essential information required by law.

9. How long information is kept

We do not keep every category for one universal period. Retention is based on the purpose, sensitivity, amount and risk of the data; the time needed to answer or document a matter; provider settings; limitation periods; security needs; and legal, tax or accounting obligations.

Category Retention criteria
Routine technical and server logs Kept for the period reasonably needed for delivery, diagnostics, security and abuse investigation, then deleted, aggregated or anonymised unless an incident requires longer preservation.
Contact messages and submissions Kept until the enquiry, correction, editorial review or commercial discussion is complete and for a reasonable period afterwards to maintain context, handle follow-up or defend claims.
Published evidence and correction records May be kept while the relevant content remains published and afterwards where needed to document accuracy, public-interest research, corrections or legal claims.
Cookie and pseudonymous identifiers Controlled by the configured lifetime, the purpose of the technology and the relevant provider; shortened or deleted when no longer needed or when a valid withdrawal requires it.
Affiliate, invoice and accounting records Kept for the applicable reconciliation, audit, tax, anti-fraud and legal-retention period.

Deletion from active systems may not instantly remove information from disaster-recovery backups. Backup copies are protected, cycle out under the applicable schedule and are not restored merely to continue an ordinary deleted-data use.

10. Security

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data from accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Measures may include encrypted transport, access controls, software updates, backups, logging, malware and spam protection, provider review and limiting access to people who need it.

No website, email system or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. You should not send secrets or identity documents unless they are genuinely necessary and an appropriate secure channel has been agreed. If you believe data connected with eCasinoExplorer has been exposed, contact us promptly and describe the issue without including additional sensitive information.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the processing involved, you may have the right to:

  • ask whether we process your personal data and obtain access to it;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion in circumstances where the law provides that right;
  • restrict particular processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent for future processing;
  • object to direct marketing at any time;
  • complain to an applicable data-protection authority;
  • receive information about certain automated decisions, if any are used.

Your right to object: where we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object based on your particular situation. We will stop the relevant processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the information is needed for legal claims. An objection to direct marketing does not require a special reason.

These rights are not absolute. For example, deletion may not apply to information that must be kept by law, is needed for a legal claim or is processed under an applicable freedom-of-expression or journalistic provision. We will explain any material refusal or limitation where the law requires it.

12. How to make a request

Submit a privacy request through our Contact page. State the right you want to exercise and provide enough context to locate the information, such as the email address used, approximate date and relevant page or message.

We may ask for proportionate verification to prevent disclosure or deletion of another person’s data. Do not send a full identity document unless specifically requested and necessary; a less intrusive method should be used where possible. Authorised agents may be required to show authority to act.

We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law. Complex or multiple requests may allow an extension, in which case the requester should be informed. A request is normally handled without charge, although manifestly unfounded or excessive requests may be refused or charged where the law permits.

13. EEA and UK complaints

If you are in the European Economic Area, you may complain to the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred. The European Data Protection Board lists EEA supervisory authorities.

If UK data-protection law applies, you can find complaint information through the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to address a concern directly, but contacting us first does not remove your right to approach a regulator.

14. United States state privacy notices

Residents of California and some other US states may have additional rights when a state privacy law applies to eCasinoExplorer and to the relevant processing. These can include rights to know, access, correct or delete personal information; obtain portability; opt out of targeted advertising, sale or certain sharing; and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a right.

eCasinoExplorer does not sell a reader’s name, email address or casino account data for cash. However, some laws define “sale,” “sharing” or targeted advertising broadly enough that affiliate, advertising or cross-context tracking technology may fall within the definition even without a cash sale of a named customer list. Where an applicable law gives you an opt-out right, you can exercise available consent controls or send a request through our Contact page.

We do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about readers. Do not send sensitive identity, financial, health or authentication data through ordinary editorial forms.

The categories that may have been collected are described in Section 2; purposes in Section 3; recipient categories in Section 7; and retention criteria in Section 9. This policy does not claim that every state law applies to the website when its statutory thresholds or scope are not met.

15. Children and adults-only content

eCasinoExplorer is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly solicit personal data from children or use the website to encourage underage gambling. A parent or guardian who believes a minor has sent personal data to us should contact us so that the matter can be reviewed and the information deleted where appropriate.

Casino age requirements vary by jurisdiction and may be higher than 18. Our adults-only rule does not establish that a person is legally eligible to gamble where they live.

16. Automated decision-making

eCasinoExplorer does not currently make decisions about readers based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Analytics, spam filtering, security tools and affiliate attribution may classify events or traffic, but they do not decide whether you receive a casino licence, account, loan, withdrawal or other legally significant service from us.

A casino or payment provider may use automated fraud, affordability, identity or eligibility systems under its own responsibility. Questions about those systems must be directed to the relevant operator and considered under its privacy notice.

17. External content and embedded services

A page may contain an embedded image, video, widget, map, social post or other third-party resource. When loaded, the provider may receive technical data and may set or read identifiers subject to the applicable consent rules. Interacting with an embed can transmit additional information to that provider.

Where practical, privacy-enhancing configurations, click-to-load mechanisms or consent controls should be used for non-essential embeds. The provider’s privacy notice governs its independent processing.

18. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when the website, providers, data uses or legal requirements change. The “Last reviewed” date shows when the current version was checked. A material change should be reflected in the policy and, where required, communicated through a prominent notice or renewed consent choice.

A policy update does not by itself create a lawful basis for an incompatible new use of previously collected data. Where new consent is required, it should be requested before the relevant processing begins.

Frequently asked questions

Can I read eCasinoExplorer anonymously?

You can read ordinary pages without creating a user account or giving us your name. However, an internet request still normally exposes technical information such as an IP address, browser data and requested URL to the website and its infrastructure.

Does eCasinoExplorer know what I bet?

Not as part of ordinary website publishing. We do not operate casino accounts or receive your complete betting history. An affiliate report may show pseudonymous or aggregated conversion information, while the casino processes account and gambling data under its own privacy notice.

What happens when I click a casino link?

Your browser connects to the destination, which may receive referral and technical data. The link may contain a campaign identifier, and the operator or affiliate platform may use attribution technologies depending on its policy, the applicable law and your consent choices.

Do you sell personal information?

We do not sell named reader or casino-account data for cash. Some privacy laws use broader definitions that can cover advertising or affiliate tracking. Where such a law applies, the relevant opt-out right remains available as described above.

Can I reject analytics or affiliate cookies?

Where consent is required, optional technologies should be subject to a real accept-or-reject choice. You can also manage cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies may not prevent every link parameter or server-side event, so use any available site-level privacy control as well.

Will deleting cookies delete my casino account?

No. A casino account is held by the operator, not eCasinoExplorer. Deleting browser cookies may remove preferences or attribution identifiers but does not normally close an external casino account or erase the operator’s legally retained records.

Should I send proof of a casino dispute?

Send only what is necessary to support a correction or editorial review. Redact account numbers, addresses, identification documents, payment details, passwords and other unrelated personal data. We cannot access the casino account or guarantee dispute resolution.

Can I ask you to remove my name from an article?

You can request review. We will consider accuracy, relevance, source, public interest, applicable privacy and freedom-of-expression rules, and any legal obligation. Removal is not automatic, but inaccurate personal data should be corrected where required.

How can I withdraw consent?

Use the available privacy or cookie controls where provided, or contact us for processing under our control. You may also remove stored cookies through your browser. Withdrawal applies to future consent-based processing and does not invalidate processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Where can I complain?

You may contact eCasinoExplorer first and may also complain to the authority that has jurisdiction over the matter. EEA residents can use the EDPB authority directory; UK residents can contact the ICO. Other locations may have their own privacy regulator or attorney general.

Our privacy standard

A privacy policy should describe the website that actually exists, not hide tracking behind vague phrases or copy obligations from a casino operator. eCasinoExplorer is a publisher: we need enough data to deliver pages, protect the site, answer messages, verify editorial information and fund the work through disclosed commercial relationships. We do not need a reader’s casino password, full payment details or identity documents to do that job.

Our standard is to collect only what is reasonably needed, make optional tracking subject to meaningful choice where required, separate our role from the operator’s role, protect retained information and respond to valid privacy requests. If a new service changes those facts, the service and this policy should be reviewed together.

18+ only. eCasinoExplorer provides information, not gambling services. Gambling involves a real risk of loss. Check local law, operator terms and the destination website’s privacy notice before creating an account or providing personal information.
